Consul General of Turkey, Los Angeles
Ambassador Ansay has held a number of diplomatic posts, among them, head of the
Center for Strategic Research at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs
(2002-2003), Ambassador and special advisor to the Permanent Mission of Turkey
to the U.N. (1998-2002), Ambassador and permanent observer of the Organization
of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to the U.N. and Permanent Representative to the
Americas (1986-1998). He was also deputy section head of the Department of
Middle East and Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Special assignments
that Ansay was responsible for include field coordinator for the Mitchell
Commission and member of the Sharm El-Shelkh Fact-Finding Committee headed by
former U.S. Senator George Mitchell, which produced the 2001 Mitchell Report,
concerning the Israel/Palestine conflict. Mr. Ansay is the author of Settlement
of Investment Disputes between States and Nationals of other States -
Multinational Investment Guarantees, published by Cambridge University, and
“Bosnia: An Alternative Action Plan,” published in The Brown Journal of Foreign
Affairs, 1994. Mr. Ansay is holder of the decoration of MVO by H.M. Queen
Elizabeth II, of England and recipient of the Medal of Honor by His Holiness
Pope Jean Paul II. Mr. Ansay earned his bachelor’s from the Faculty of Law at
Ankara University and his LLB and diploma in International Law at Cambridge
University, U.K.

John Morgridge
Chairman Of the Board, Cisco Systems
Mr. Morgridge joined Cisco in 1988 as President and CEO. During his tenure as CEO, he
grew the company from $5 million in sales to over $1 billion, and from 34 employees to over
2,260 employees. In 1990, he took Cisco public and in 1995 was appointed to Chairman. Fifteen years ago,
Cisco Systems did not exist. Today, Cisco is the fastest growing company in the history of the computer
industry and is now the third highest valued company in the world with a market capitalization over $300
billion. In his role as Chairman, Mr. Morgridge dedicates his time to Cisco's education and government initiatives.
He also teaches part-time at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and speaks regularly on
entrepreneurialism and management strategies at corporations and universities around the world. In 1996,
Stanford's Graduate School of Business honored Mr. Morgridge with the Arbuckle Award. He serves as Director of numerous
non-profit organizations, including the Morgridge Family Foundation, Interplast, Inc., the American Leadership
Forum (ALF) for Silicon Valley, the Nature Conservancy (TNC) and the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF).
He is also a member of the 21st Century Education Board and the Stanford Business School Advisory Council.
Mr. Morgridge holds a BBA from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Stanford University, and has
received Honorary degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Lesley College and Northern Illinois University.

Murat Alaybeyi
Chief Technologist, Magma Inc.; Former Co-founder, Mojave Inc.
Mr. Alaybeyi co-founded and was the software architect and a
director of the board at Mojave Inc., which was acquired by Magma Design
Automation Inc. for $150M contingent on some milestones. Before Mojave Inc, he
worked for Avanti Corporation and produced multiple products. He has architected
Star-RCXTT, the leading parasitic extraction tool, which is used by over 150
leading semiconductor companies in production of integrated circuits. He has
also co-founded Performance Signal Integrity Inc. (PSI) in 1992. PSI developed
circuit simulation software for Electronic Design Automation and was acquired by
Avanti Corporation in 1994. Mr. Alaybeyi has received his Ph.D. degree on
Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Melon University. He has M.Sc.
degree from Bilkent University, Turkey and B.Sc. degree from Middle East
Technical University, Turkey.

Saman Amarasinghe
CTO & Founder, Determina; Assoc. Prof. EECS Dept., MIT
Dr. Saman Amarasinghe is an Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT and a member of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL).
His research has focused on computer security, compiler optimization and computer architecture. He has authored more than 50 technical publications, served on 15 program committees of international conferences and is an associate editor of an ACM Journal.
His research into runtime program analyses led to Determina groundbreaking Memory Firewall™ technology.
Mr. Amarasinghe has a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from
Cornell University and M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Stanford University.

Brett Bachman
Independent Strategy Consultant
Mr. Bachman is an independent strategy consultant serving the needs of early stage software companies. Before launching his consulting practice, he led a $100M division of Fair Isaac Corporation that provided decision-management software and analytic consulting services. Prior to Fair Isaac, he co-founded and was president of MS2, a venture-back enterprise software company. MS2 developed the first stage-gate automation application and led the creation of a new application category called PLM (Product Lifecycle Management). Agile Software acquired MS2 in 2003. Before MS2 he held executive positions with Oracle, Informix, and Rational Software, and was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Mr. Bachman has an MBA from Harvard, and a BSEECS degree from MIT.

Mr.
Beşkardeş
is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association,
NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and the American Bar
Association’s Sections of International Law and Practice and Business Law. He is
licensed to practice law in Tennessee and New York. Before joining Siskind
Susser, he was the in-house immigration specialist of The University of Memphis
where he served the immigration needs of the faculty, staff, and students. An
active member of NAFSA and a member of their Trainer Corps roster, he frequently
conducts professional development workshops, lectures, and writes on immigration
issues for NAFSA and other educational organizations and institutions. He also
has several years teaching experience as an adjunct professor of Business Law at
The University of Memphis’s Fogelman College of Business and Economics. Mr.

Oktay Beşkardeş
Former President, T İDEB
Prof. Beşkardeş graduated from Robert College Engineering School with B.Sc. in
Chemical Engineering in 1964. He completed his M.Sc. degree in 1966 with an ATAŞ-Mobil
fellowship and D.Sc. degree in 1968 both in Chemical and Petroleum Refining
Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. For a short duration he worked as a
staff engineer with PETKİM Petrochemicals in Ankara, Turkey. Consequently as a
faculty member at Chemical Engineering Deparment in Hacettepe University, Prof.
Beşkardeş served on many commissions, with positions from representative to
chairman, related to the University - Industry cooperation at national and EU
level. He also worked as the CEO of the Technology Development and Application
Center at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey where he also served as a board
member of its Teknokent Corporation. He was the former-director of TÜBİTAK-TİDEB
(Technology Evaluation and Monitoring Board of Turkish Scientific and Research
Council) responsible for assessing grants to emerging Turkish industries. TİDEB
evaluated over 3,000 R&D projects with total planned costs of more than $1.5
billion. His current research interest is in socio-technological process design
fundamentals.

Ziya Boyacıgiller

Mr. Boyacıgiller
currently works as an investor for technology oriented startup companies in
Turkey and in Silicon Valley. He teaches Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the
Graduate Business School of Sabancı
University and also serves as a board member for Airties Networks, both in
İstanbul. Mr. Boyacıgiller
started his career at Intersil Inc. as a design engineer and worked on
analog-to-digital converters using CMOS technology. He was the founder of the
first programmable 14-bit integrated circuit and consequently was the recipient
of several patents. He was the founder of E/Z Cad Inc. which was one of the
first and pioneer companies focusing on digital CAD design software. He then
became one of the founding members of Maxim Integrated Circuits where he worked
for 17 years and held various technical and managerial positions. Mr. Boyacıgiller
holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronical Engineering respectively from
Bogazici University in
İstanbul and from UCLA.

Yalçιn Bulut
Director of Market Development, Vishay Siliconix Inc.
At Vishay Siliconix Incorporated (division of a Fortune 1000
company), Mr. Bulut has been responsible for managing Power MOSFET product line
on a global basis. He has been managing a cross-functional and cross-cultural
global marketing and field applications team to cover customer and technical
application needs in a challenging Telecom segment to increase sales revenue to
about $270 Million in 2004 through new technology initiatives, performance
improvement, cost optimization and successful new product introduction. His
additional cross-functional responsibilities include strategic business
planning, market development and competitive positioning, implementing
applications and product management strategy and key account relationship
management. Mr. Bulut has been with Vishay Siliconix for almost 8 years. Before
Vishay Siliconix, Mr. Bulut worked for Telefunken Semiconductors and Loral
Electronics. He is a member of EE Times Product Council and also is in the
Technical Advisory Committee of Power Electronics Conference. Mr. Bulut holds an
engineering degree in Solid State Physics and also has completed MBA degree with
focus on New Product Strategy and International Business. He has presented
various papers in seminars and conferences and had many articles published in
renowned magazines.

Bülent Çelebi

Mr.
Çelebi
started first 10 years of his impressive career at National Semiconductor. He
was the founder of the technology which enabled digital messages to be sent
across the telephone lines. This enabled National to become the first company to
add fax abilities to a printer. He also helped National to become the leader in
10/100 Mbps Ethernet market. At National, he also served as the VP of Sales
responsible for the Asian markets. After National, he served as a Vice President
at Analog Devices. Later he served as the CEO for Ubicom where he was able to
direct the company towards producing devices supporting Wireless LAN equipment
that brought $15 million in revenue in a short period of time. Ubicom was able
to hold partnerships with Cisco and Dell. After his success at Ubicom, he was
selected as one of the top 10 entrepreneurs of 2002 by Red Herring magazine. Mr.

has been working as a journalist & broadcaster and media executive since 1969.
He has held positions in Turkey and abroad. He started his professional career
with Turkish public broadcaster TRT (foreign news desk editor) and then worked
for German news agency DPA (Ankara correspondent), Swedish TV (Ankara
correspondent), German radio WDR (Ankara correspondent), daily Aydınlık
(senior editor), BBC World Service (Turkish section producer), Daily Milliyet
(London bureau chief). Upon his return to Turkey he was appointed as the news
editor of Milliyet, then moved to become the Deputy General Manager TRT. Since
1991 has been involved in launching a number of private TV channels Show TV
(Program Director, then General Manager), pay TV Cine-5 (concept developer),
news channel NTV (President & CEO), business news channel CNBC-e (concept
developer), CNN Turk (President & CEO), Fenerbahçe
TV (concept developer). He is currently Vice President of Doğan
Media Group working as coordinator for print media and TVs and external
relations and also as the CEO of The Turkish Daily News. He is involved in a

Fahri Diner Managing Partner, Applied Materials Ventures
Mr. Diner is a communications executive with extensive experience in conceiving new value propositions and building high-tech organizations to successfully execute aggressive business plans.
He was the Founder, Director, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Qtera
Corporation, founded in September 1998 and which was acquired in January 2000 by
Nortel Networks for $3.25 billion. Before founding Qtera, Mr. Diner was with Siemens, where as a member of an executive team, he helped establish and manage the company's Optical Networks business unit in North America, which was later spun-off as Optisphere
Networks in April 2000. During his 13-year career in fiber optic telecommunications,
Mr. Diner's areas of responsibility have spanned product strategy, design and
development, marketing, product line management, operations, business
development, finance, and executive management. Mr. Diner earned his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering
from Florida Institute of Technology with full scholarship and he holds five patents in the field of fiber optics and optical communications.

Tunç Doluca Senior VP, Maxim
Mr. Doluca is Senior Vice President and General Manager at Maxim
Integrated Products, a NASDAQ 100 semiconductor company with $1.7B annual
revenue. He has the responsibility for directing six Business Units at Maxim as
well as four Business Units at Dallas Semiconductor, a wholly owned subsidiary
of Maxim. He joined Maxim in 1984, after a three-year mixed-signal chip design
career at Intersil. During his early career at Maxim he designed and developed
data conversion products followed by power management products. In 1993 he
became the VP of Research and Development. He started the first vertical
Business Unit at Maxim in 1994. Born in Ankara, Mr. Doluca attended Middle East
Technical University, in Ankara Turkey, and holds a BSEE degree from Iowa State

Erhan Ergin VP of Engineering, Manhattan Routing

Mr. Ergin was at Cadence Design Systems from 1996 to 2000 before
joining Manhattan Routing Inc. NYC early 2000 as a senior partner. MRI provides
design services and consulting in the area of VLSI design and his main focus is
physical design of large hierarchical ICs. In order to capture MRI's know-how in
physical design, he and his team have started working on EDA software
development and founded PWOC Inc in 2003. Mr. Ergin is one of the architects of
Physical Window and Optimization Cockpit tools which are being used in over 10
companies during IC physical implementation. MRI recently opened up an office in
Ankara, Turkey in an effort to outsource the research & development efforts for
software design. Mr. Ergin has earned his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from
Wichita State University in 1994 and his M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer

Jay Eum Managing Director, Samsung Venture

Mr. Eum is responsible for leading Samsung
Ventures' US-based investments and portfolio management based upon his diverse
experience in both venture investing and operating roles. Prior to joining
Samsung, he was an investment officer with the Silicon Valley office of Vertex
Management, a global VC firm headquartered in Singapore. At Vertex, Mr. Eum
focused on investments in communications and biotechnology. He also worked at
McKinsey in Palo Alto, New York, Beijing, and Seouland at Goldman Sachs in Hong

Mr. Göksal is responsible for the internet business unit of Doğan Group, which has leadership positions in internet access services, Portals, e-commerce and long distance telephone communication services. He started his career at Birks & Sons Ltd, Montreal, Canada in 1985. After returning Turkey, he had technology executive positions in Irving Trust-Tutunbank, Finansbank, Turkish Tourism Bank, Interbank, Intertech. He served as a member of the executive committee in Vestel between 1997-2001. Before joining Doğan Group, Mr. Göksal worked for Turkcell, leading GSM provider of Turkey with 24 million subscribers. He was holding board member positions in Turkcell's subsidary companies. Mr. Göksal holds a B.Sc. degree in Management from Middle East Technical University.

Mustafa Gözalan
VP of Business Development,
Doğan Media Group Mr. Gözalan serves an executive
board member for Dogan Media Group and private television channel Kanal-D in
Turkey. He began his career in 1986 with the auditing division of Arthur
Anderson, and within a short time was appointed to the company's Los Angeles
office. Later he served in Arthur Anderson's Chicago Offices in the auditing,
asset management and business consulting divisions. Returning to Turkey in 1990,
Mr. Gözalan played an important role in the foundation of Arthur Anderson's
Consulting Division in Turkey. He was the partner in charge of the telecom and
media industry in the emerging countries before he joined into Doğan
Group's management Boards in 2000. Mr. Gözalan is one of the pioneers of
e-transformation process in Turkey and had many client projects and publications
in this field.

Barış Karadoğan Associate, US Venture Partners
Mr. Karadoğan has been an
associate at USVP since 2001 and focuses mainly on communications, networking,
storage and semiconductor investments. Prior to USVP, he worked for 3Com (formerly U.S. Robotics), where he held both technical and business development positions. As a software engineer,
he wrote and architected TCP/IP networking and device driver software for 3Com's first DOCSIS
based cable modems and was involved closely with the overall cable modem system
design as the department grew from zero to 150 employees. Mr. Karadoğan holds a
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Mr. Karakullukçu completed his undergraduate work in Electrical Engineering and in Economics at MIT, MSc degree in finance and PhD thesis in financial economics at the LSE and legal education (JD) at Columbia University. He has worked at an international investment bank in London and at the LSE as a member of the academic staff. He has done research and consultancy work at the IMF and the World Bank respectively on Turkish debt dynamics. He is a member of the New York State Bar.

Mr. Korgav has more than 27 years of manufacturing and operational experience in semiconductor and optical (DWDM) transport systems. Prior to joining NetLogic Microsystems, Korgav was a member of venture capital firm Global Catalyst Partners as an entrepreneur-in-residence. Prior to joining Global Catalyst Partners, he was at Zaffire, an optical transport systems company, as senior vice president of operations. Previously, Korgav was with NeoMagic as vice president of manufacturing operations from its early start-up stage and helped build it into a successful public company with more than $250 million in sales. Before NeoMagic, he co-founded Micro Linear and also worked at Seeq, Synertek, AMD and Siliconix in various manufacturing engineering and operations positions.

Ali Kutay President & CEO, Golden Gate
Mr. Kutay was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AltoWeb, Inc., a provider of e-business infrastructure software. From 1997 to 1998 he was a director, President and Chief Executive Officer of WebLogic, Inc., the company that pioneered the Application Server technology which became one of the major building blocks of web-enabled applications. WebLogic
merged with BEA Systems, Inc. in 1998 forming one of the major infrastructure software providers in the industry. Previously he was the President and CEO of Lockheed Martin Corporation's Commercial Software Business Unit, Formtek, from 1990 to 1997. Mr. Kutay
holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Engineering from Middle East Technical University
in Ankara, Turkey and has completed graduate work at Carnegie Mellon University. His graduate and thesis work at Carnegie Mellon was the foundation for Formtek. Ali Kutay serves on several public and private company boards.

Mr. Özveren is an investor and entrepreneur focusing on
networking and security with a market focus on enterprises and service
providers. He was a general manager VP at Arris International. Prior to Arris,
he was the founder, CEO and Chairman of Atoga Systems, which built optical
routers that are focused on carrier profitability. Atoga received Best of Show
awards from SuperComm, Interop & Comnet, and was acquired by Arris
International. Prior to Atoga, Mr. Özveren co-founded Berkeley Networks where he
was the VP of Engineering and Manufacturing. He led the hardware and software
development efforts of Berkeley's award winning Gigabit Switch Router from
architecture to manufacturing. Berkeley Networks was acquired by FORE Systems,
which was subsequently sold to GEC. Prior to Berkeley, Mr. Özveren worked at
FORE Systems, where he was the architect and project leader for their high-end
ATM switch development. Prior to his work at FORE, he served at DEC, assuming
various leadership and architect roles for the company's GigaSwitch FDDI and ATM
switch, Ethernet Switch, and SAR development. While at DEC, Mr. Özveren also
worked on the architecture and development of an all-optical switch as part of
the AON Consortium with MIT and ATT. Mr. Özveren has published 29 papers and
holds 9 patents. He holds five degrees from MIT, including a Ph.D. in electrical
engineering and computer science, and an MBA from Sloan School of Management.

Müge Tanık stared her career in the IT industry in 1987 when she established and managed the Solutions Channels for Lotus Development Corporation in Turkey. In 1990 she joined Digital Equipment Corporation in Turkey to assume several different marketing management roles. She spent 4 years in the United States where she held channel marketing roles in the IT industry before returning to Turkey in 1997 to establish Intel in Turkey. In her role as the Country managing director, she expended Intel's distribution and IPI channel, and Intel Turkey appointed as the regional headquarters in EMEA. In the last 5 years she has been assuming Business Development management roles at Intel headquarters in Santa Clara, California. Recently she is responsible for the Emerging Markets Platform development. Müge Tanık holds a BA degree in Social Sciences and an MBA in Marketing.

Cem Tanyel VP, Unisys
Mr. Tanyel serves as the Vice President of Solution Development and the Chief
Technology Officer for Global Financial Services Sector within Unisys. In this
role, he manages all product development and advanced support activities for all
Unisys Financial software solutions across the globe. The responsibilities also
include setting the solution and the technology strategy for Unisys in the
Financial Services market and leading the technology aspects of the organization
that serves many large banks, insurance companies across all five continents.
Prior to Unisys, Mr. Tanyel was at Firepond as the Chief Operating Officer
responsible for Product Development, Worldwide Customer Support, and Worldwide
Professional Services. Prior to Firepond, he ran product development and
customer support at Brightware as a Sr. Vice President. He started his career at
Informix as an software development engineer and performed various technical and
management roles leading to the final position of Executive Director and General
Manager for the e-Commerce business unit. Mr. Tanyel has an M.Sc. in Computer
Science from University of Maryland, an MBA from San Jose State University,
and a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Middle East Technical University in
Ankara, Turkey.

Sıtkı Timuçin Supply Chain Strategy and Development Manager, Hewlett-Packard Company
Mr. Timuçin is a Supply Chain Management expert at HP. He
has partnered with different HP divisions on supply chain network and process
design, outsourcing, inventory and capacity management, forecasting and
planning, product design, social and environmental responsibility, demand
management, and warranty areas. Before joining HP, he worked and consulted for

Korhan Titizer Founder and CEO, Aspendos Communications
Mr. Titizer has 22 years of experience in the semiconductor industry designing mixed-signal IC’s for communications and consumer products. He has developed telephony modem and codec IC’s during 80’s, multimedia audio/video products and cable modem IC’s during 90’s. He has worked as a designer at Sierra and Crystal Semiconductor. Şahin Tulga Managing Director, HP/Compaq Turkey
Mr. Tulga is an expert in various management and information
technology topics, including new & real-time economy, marketing strategy, sales
management and change management. Mr. Tulga started his carrier as a Senior
Research Engineer at Drilling Resources Development Corp. in US. After returning
back to Turkey, he was the General Manager for Bordata Information Systems and
served as an instructor in the Dept. of Statistics and Operations Research at
Middle East Technical University. He then served as the General Manager for
Entek Information Technology Systems and consequently was with Digital Equipment
Turkey as the Country Manager. He then served as the VP of Information
Appliances & PC Business Unit at VESTEL Group of Companies. Prior to HP, he was
the General Manager for Lucent Technologies Turkey. Mr. Tulga holds an B.Sc.
degree in Mechanical Engineering and two M.Sc. degrees in Civil and Mechanical
Engineering, all from MIT.

governance, risk management, strategy and operations. He joined Ernst & Young in
2001. He is responsible for managing teams of auditors and consultants in San
Francisco Office for the last year and a half. He is currently managing the
international coordination and execution of the financial audit for a Fortune 10
company, as well as various other projects in various Fortune 100 companies such
as Cisco, Google, Apple, Yahoo. At İstanbul

Nuray George Uğraş General Partner, Adams Capital Managementt
Mr. Uğraş
joined Adams Capital Management in 1999 as a General Partner, after spending a year as an investment professional at Apax Partners, a private equity firm in New York. Prior to joining Apax Partners, George spent four years as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Co. in New York, working closely with clients in the telecommunications and media industries, on strategic and operational issues.
He makes investments in and works with portfolio companies in the telecommunications, networking, and semiconductor industries.
Mr. Uğraş was a Physics Research Fellow at California Institute of Technology and has a Ph.D. with honors in Applied Physics from Yale University. He also holds a B.Sc. Engineering Physics degree from Fairleigh
Dickinson University.
